UK Affiliate comes a close second in affilinet’s International PokerNight final in Mallorca
affilinet successfully establishes its International Publisher PokerNight series with more than 400 participating Publishers
London, November 3, 2008: Jonathan Moakes of captainconsumer.com narrowly missed grabbing the top slot during the breath-taking final of the recent affilinet International PokerNight in Mallorca.
Jonathan, who lost out to Karsten Windfelder, German Publisher and owner of the famous German Affiliate Blog, 100partnerprogramme.de, was one of ten UK Publishers who made it through to the International final.
Both have won a free trip to visit Affiliate Summit Las Vegas in February 2009 whilst those placed third to tenth also received poker prizes sponsored by myBet.net, the main sponsor of the event series.
Starting in the Summer, over 400 Publishers across Germany, Spain, France, UK and the Netherlands battled it out at local country heats for a place at the first-ever affilinet International PokerNight. Only the best of the final table in each country were then given an invitation to play in the Mallorca final.
affilinet, one of Europe’s leading Affiliate Networks with more than 1,500 Affiliate Programs, launched its successful PokerNight series in 2007 as a way of strengthening ties with its Publishers. The 2008 series was the first to conclude in an International final. Apart from the thrill of playing the game, this enhanced event also provided the ideal platform for wider European networking.
Marc Stilke, COO and speaker of the board of AdLINK Group, says: “Based on the success in Germany and France in 2007, we have now enlarged the PokerNight to an International level, and have integrated our entire Network of 450,000 Publishers across Europe. The high number of participants shows that this event series is deeply appreciated by our Publishers as it offers the ideal basis for open international exchange.”
Bernd Henning, Director Marketing & Sales of myBet.net, adds: “The affilinet PokerNight has given us the possibility to have direct conversations with existing as well as new Publishers in a relaxing atmosphere. The newly-International direction, as well as the high number of participants, is very important to us and has already positively reflected on the size of our business.”
