Senior Account Manager

The Vacant Position

The Senior Account Manager will work together with the Account Director on a key strategic client to ensure a best in market level of service. You will be expected to successfully manage one of the UK’s biggest affiliate programmes as well as having an overseeing role that will be responsible for monitoring and delivery across the team of which they’re in charge. You will be expected to have considerable experience and an excellent understanding of the affiliate channel.

Your Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for delivery and performance of key account
  • Development and implementation of strategy for key account
  • Maintain daily contact with client, offering direction for program growth, strategic insight and regular feedback
  • Co-ordinate and deliver on project based activity, e.g. publisher recruitment
  • Delegate admin heavy tasks to team members
  • Ensure consistent monitoring and internal reporting across account
  • Assisting the wider team in knowledge enhancement, learning and career progression
  • Setting Objectives and Goals for members of the team and actively monitoring progress
  • Work closely with the Account Director to deliver, implement and analyse client development.

As the ideal candidate you will….

  • Expert knowledge in all aspects of affiliate and the performance channel
  • Experience of Key Account Management in a variety of sectors
  • In-depth knowledge of tracking, reporting and a strong technical awareness
  • Experience in co-ordinating team projects
  • Experience in people management
  • Strong and confident communicator, showing clear thought process and strong negotiating skills
  • Prepared to present frequently to senior client contacts, publishers and internally
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large affiliate programmes
  • Ability to digest detailed information and pass on relevant points to other team members
  • Establish and maintain communication lines on behalf of the team throughout affilinet and client businesses
  • Demonstrate desire to control and own projects and self-motivate to deliver the best possible solution for existing or potential clients and internal teams
  • Astute commercial focus of all clients under the employees remit. Managing expectation where required

The Position

We currently have a vacancy for a driven and entrepreneurial  New Business Development Executive to join our Sales and Marketing Team, with the primary function to generate new business opportunities for affilinet UK. As we continue to grow this role is integral to our future success and in turn we offer successful candidates a competitive salary, on-the-job training and future career progression.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage the sales pipeline to identify new business opportunities to ensure delivery of targets set. Send weekly updates of the sales pipeline as well as maintaining the pipeline ahead of the bi-weekly business development meetings.
  • Take responsibility of targeting small and medium sized business, via direct contacts and media agencies
  • Work towards monthly and quarterly new business targets , reporting on a regular basis regarding actual vs monthly target, providing a summary of why business was won or lost
  • Approach and convert potential customers using a variety of methods including cold calling, attending events, emails and pitching
  • Respond to and convert relevant inbound sales enquiries through the CRM system
  • Project manage proposals and pitches alongside the Senior Marketing Manager and the New Business Development Team
  • Work with and develop relationships with target clients and agencies
  • Liaise with colleagues in Europe to work on International New Business Projects
  • Remain up to date on all areas of the company’s strategy, products, services and vision; promoting these to potential clients and agency contacts
  • Keep up to date with competitive company offerings, including networks and technology providers
  • Work with marketing to regularly update sales material and case studies
  • Provide support on incoming client queries for the networks self managed clients
  • Manage the on-boarding process for the networks self managed clients

Requirements

  • Strong and confident communicator, showing clear thought process and strong negotiating skills
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in an affiliate marketing or digital role
  • Self-starter and prepared to work alone as well as part of the wider team
  • Strong client facing, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to digest detailed information and use as required
  • Strong negotiating skills and awell-developed commercial acumen
  • A solid grasp of MS Office
  • Be willing to push boundaries, challenging yourself, colleagues and your Clients
  • Excellent organisational skills, with a hands-on approach
